Leaving NYC yesterday on the way to the airport, I passed a mosaic with a line that stopped me in my tracks: “Dripping water hollows out a stone.” Holding my daughter’s hand, I was reminded: A single drop doesn’t look like much, but over time it reshapes stone; small moments of compassion work that quiet miracle in us and in the world.

My prayer is that our compassion is reshaping us + the world.
